FESTO is a German automation technology manufacturer founded in 1925 by Albert Fezer and Gottlieb Stoll, headquartered in Esslingen. Initially producing woodworking machinery, the company shifted its focus to pneumatic automation in the 1950s, becoming the first pneumatic company to achieve ISO 9001 certification in 1979. It owns three subsidiaries: DSG, Beck, and Festo AG & Co. KG. Its products cover ten major categories, including cylinders, solenoid valves, and sensors, offering over 30,000 automation solutions widely used in the automotive, electronics, and food processing industries. Core technologies include flow sensors supporting IO-Link communication and direct-acting, step-direct-acting, and pilot-operated solenoid valves.
